Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt Producing HBO Series

Angelina Jolie
Hot Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are making their first joint producing effort with a series project at HBO, says The Hollywood Reporter.

The Bourne Ultimatum co-writer Scott Burns is penning the untitled drama, which will explore the behind-the scenes politics of an international aid organization and chronicle the lives of humanitarian workers assigned to dangerous zones and the people in need they assist.

Jolie, Pitt and Burns, producer of the Oscar-winning documentary An Inconvenient Truth, are executive producing. Jolie's longtime manager, Media Talent Group's Geyer Kosinski, serves as co-executive producer.

The trade says the series has been a passion project for Jolie since she did the 2003 feature Beyond Borders, a drama about disaster-relief workers in war-torn countries.

Actors Join Angelina Jolie for Eastwood Drama

Angelina Jolie
Jeffrey Donovan, Colm Feore and John Malkovich have joined Angelina Jolie in director Clint Eastwood's true-life drama "Changeling."
The Universal Pictures project follows a woman (Jolie) whose son goes missing in 1920s Los Angeles. The police return the wrong child and the woman is thrown into an insane asylum for disagreeing with the LAPD. When it seems that her real son has been murdered by a child serial killer and the child returned admits to fraud, she takes her case to the city council and takes down the mayor, the police chief and several corrupt officers, concurrently sparking changes in the insanity legislation.

Donovan will play a police captain, Feore the chief of police, and Malkovich a clergyman.

Donovan is the star of USA Networks' "Burn Notice." Feore will be seen as a series regular on the upcoming season of Fox's "24," in which he plays first husband opposite Cherry Jones. Malkovich will next be seen in Robert Zemeckis' "Beowulf."

Hot Angelina Jolie Briefly Reveals Her True Colors

Angelina Jolie
Everything usually looks better in black and white for rock star mommy Angelina Jolie. The Oscar winning actress holds court daily now in the streets of Gotham where a rope line of sorts reveals the star actress (and the woman Brad Pitt is currently sleeping with) as she fetches up her son Maddox Jolie-Pitt from the Lycee Francais School in New York City. So what did observers concentrate on Wednesday?
Celebrity watchers have been eying Jolie's breasts and belly looking for cleavage and a bump as some reports claim the actress is knocked up or plans to be soon. But the buzz on Wednesday was that Jolie allowed some color to shine through.

Angelina Jolie changed out of her drab black but her choice was quickly lampooned. Michael K of D-Listed has this: "Angelina dropped the black and instead wore a sweater in the perfect shade of baby diarrhea. She should've kept the black. And yes this is Angelina picking up Maddox from school this afternoon and not attending a red carpet event."

He adds, "Seriously, don't those people have anything better to do?! They act like they've never seen a wealthy, emaciated woman with a stick up her ass on the Upper East Side before. Dime a dozen." Photos and comments are here.

Perhaps Angelina Jolie read them as she has quickly went back to basics. Just Jared notes here that Angelina was spotted leaving the United Nations building in New York City on Thursday morning after a brief meeting with officials. The mother-of-four went back to basics and wore head-to-toe black including a classy black trench coat and her trusty Jimmy Choo “Sami” shoes.

Brad Pitt tells C-P: Angelina Jolie helps me pick roles

Angelina Jolie
Ever since "Legends of the Fall" turned him into a household name, Brad Pitt has been Hollywood's reigning matinee idol. With appearances in movies like "Seven," "Fight Club," "Twelve Monkeys," "Snatch," "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" and "Babel," the actor has figured out a way to mix popcorn pictures with edgier fare.

But how does he pick those winners? He recently let the Courier-Post in on one of his secrets, saying he turns primarily to companion Angelina Jolie for advice.

"I rely on her opinions," he says. "She's the best sounding board that I have and I value her opinion immensely. She (ticks) me off sometimes, but she's smart and she loves film as much as I do."

Now that Pitt is the father to Maddox, 6, Pax, 4, Zahara, 2 and Shiloh, 1, he's toyed with the idea of doing more family-friendly films. But after showing his kids "Sinbad," Pitt says he's decided to stay away from animated movies.

"It was actually confusing for the kids because they were, like, `That sounds like you but it doesn't look like you.' So, I think I'll keep it separate. I'd rather have them be able to enjoy their cartoons without any more confusion from me."

That shouldn't be a problem in his next film, with co-star George Clooney.

Clooney, who also worked with Pitt in all of the "Ocean's" films, is co-starring with him in the upcoming Coen Brothers' CIA thriller "Burn After Reading."

Clooney believes Pitt is one of Hollywood's most underrated performers.

"I'll tell you that Brad's a really brave actor, which is an interesting thing," says Clooney. "People don't say that enough about him. What he did in `Snatch' is just phenomenal. Phenomenal. He should have been nominated."

Pitt already has his next two projects picked out. He'll play a man who is aging backwards in "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" (2008), which co-stars Cate Blanchett. For "State of Play" (2008), he'll reteam with "Fight Club" co-star Edward Norton as a reporter digging into the suspicious death of a congressman's mistress.
